The
Common Goals Platform includes technical issues such as the economy,
health care, jobs, energy, ..., and also seeks to elevate particular
issues in media and public awareness such as: truth in media is a core
element necessary to democracy, zero tolerance for gender bias in
politics and the media, and women's rights are human rights - the
empowerment of women benefits society as a whole. We will achieve goals
by developing and maintaining a platform and building a coalition
composed of our membership and partner organizations. Together we will
make the platform visible and persuasive to public policy makers,
legislators, and persistently engage the broader public, and thereby
effect lasting positive change in policy and legislation and the media.
